Terms and Conditions

• The Offer is available only to certain registered TechEd 2012 full conference attendees (U.S. and Europe events only). Each individual acquiring a subscription in connection with the Offer (the “Subscriber”) is responsible for all related taxes.

  
  

  The Complimentary Subscription expires twelve (12) months from the date of activation of the software, upon which the Subscription must be either (i) renewed at the retail price or (ii) the software uninstalled.

  
  

  Subscribers must log in and associate their Live ID in order to initiate the Complimentary Subscription. The rights to use the Complimentary Subscription will expire 12 months from the date of activation of the Subscription by Microsoft and not from the date the Subscriber associates their Live ID at the benefits portal).

  
  

  Existing paid TechNet Subscribers may not renew their Subscription with the Complimentary Subscription (a TechNet Subscription must be purchased at the retail price).

  
  

  The Subscription does not include Professional Support calls.

  
  

  Due to government gift and ethics laws, certain government and other public sector employees (including military and employees of public education institutions) may not be eligible to receive a Complimentary Subscription.

  
  

  The Offer is limited to one (1) per individual Subscriber and may not be used on volume license orders.

  
  

  The Offer is valid only for a new twelve (12) month subscription to TechNet Subscriptions Professional (NFR) and may not be combined with any other promotions, discounts or offers.

  
  

  Subscription renewals are not processed automatically. Subscribers are responsible for renewing their subscriptions which are subject to those subscription and use terms and fees.

  
  

  Upon the 1 year expiration date, Subscriber acknowledges that he or she is responsible for paying for any fees for the renewal of the subscription.

  
  

  By accepting this Offer and the Complimentary Subscription, you agree that Microsoft may contact you via telephone or email regarding your TechNet Subscription for marketing and transactional purposes.

  
  
  • Microsoft will contact you via email and phone during the term of the Complimentary Subscription, and that may include emails sent approximately every month and telephone calls.
  • Promotional emails and calls will be regarding the software, and benefits available through the Complimentary Subscription.
